about

Produced by Grammy-winning David Bottrill (Tool, Peter Gabriel, Rush, Smashing Pumpkins...) this song is haunting, with lots of tantrums that call out its story. Grammy-winning Neil MacIntosh (drums) is bombastic; Master of Performance Chris Pruden (Voyager) is an extension of the beat; PhD of Ethnomusicology Patrick O'Reilly-Flemming (guitar) illuminates the mood and myself (guitar) swell and twinkle as we both dance on our pedalboards while I sing from the depths of my gut.

In a league of his own, DB is a kindred spirit and recording with him is magic, like experiencing telepathy realized as he pulls the best performance out of us like a sorcerer. Partially live-off-the-floor and partially over-dubbed, the process conjured an array of feelings that could never be put to words.

Forgotten is about when I fell in "love" with the storm cloud, but it was never real.
It was a time worth forgetting and it has been forgotten.
What followed was a kind of love as real as me - a kind that could not be forgotten..

lyrics

So beautiful
Not seen before
No shirt
Just standing in the door
I make my way
Touching your skin
I feel the light air dancing up and onto him

How can you!
How can you be forgotten?

I kiss you slow
Lean into me
Brush into your breath and breathe the air you breathe
Amidst the gray
Floating above
I had fallen so deeply into love

How can you!
How can you be forgotten to me?

Move in the glow
So beautiful
But I cannot unknown
Move on
Apropo
Take your last bow and go
Be forgotten

How can you?

Be forgotten to me...
